Terms of service
Last updated October 14, 2026
By creating an ImpoundLog account you agree to these terms. If you sign up for a company, you agree on its behalf.
The service
ImpoundLog is a tool for recording the vehicles on a towing company's storage or impound lot: intakes, spaces, holds, lien notice dates and releases. It records what you enter; it does not know your state's towing, lien or abandoned-vehicle rules. Compliance with those rules, and every decision to hold, release, auction or scrap a vehicle, stays with you. We aren't responsible for a wrongful release, a missed notice deadline, storage-fee disputes, or damage to a vehicle.
Your account
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- The company owner controls who joins the company's account, including partner logins, and can disable users at any time.
- Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break in, overload it, or access other companies' data.
Plans and billing
- The Solo plan is free. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time from the Billing page; you keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for. We don't give partial refunds.
- If a plan lapses, your data stays, but features and user logins above the Solo plan stop working until you upgrade again.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email.
Your data
Your company's records belong to you. You can export them at any time. See the privacy policy for what we store.
Availability
We work to keep ImpoundLog running but can't promise it will never be down. The service is provided "as is", and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will email account owners about material changes. You can stop using ImpoundLog at any time; we may suspend accounts that break these terms.
